Family Dispute Resolution
Supporting families to make practical decisions during times of change.
Family Dispute Resolution provides a structured and confidential process for parents to work through parenting arrangements, property matters, and separation-related decisions.
The focus is on improving communication, exploring options, and reaching practical agreements that support the long-term wellbeing of children and families.
Where appropriate, Child-Inclusive Consultation may also be integrated into the process to ensure children’s experiences and developmental needs are thoughtfully considered.

Section 60I
Certificates
Where appropriate, Section 60I certificates may be issued following assessment of family dispute resolution requirements. Often required before commencing parenting proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

What to expect in mediation
Step One
Individual Intake Consultations
Each parent meets separately to discuss their situation, identify key concerns, and assess whether mediation is appropriate and safe.
Step Two
Preparation and Planning
Information is gathered, relevant documents are reviewed, and the process is tailored to the needs of your family.
Step Three
Mediation Session
Parents work together—with professional guidance—to explore options, improve communication, and develop practical solutions.
Step Four
Agreements and Next Steps
Where agreement is reached, outcomes can be documented and parents are supported to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Where appropriate
Child-Inclusive Consultation
With the agreement of both parents, children’s experiences and developmental needs may be thoughtfully incorporated into the process. Child-Inclusive Consultation provides children with an opportunity to have their views and experiences considered in a safe, respectful, and developmentally appropriate way.

A Structured and Supportive Process
Family Dispute Resolution is a structured and supported process designed to help parents communicate clearly, reduce conflict, and make practical, child-focused decisions without going to court.
Mediation is a guided conversation that provides enough structure to keep discussions productive while allowing space for reflection, listening, and problem-solving. My role is to remain impartial and manage the process with calm professionalism.
Sessions are confidential and conducted within the protections available under the Family Law Act, subject to relevant legal exceptions.
