Supervised Child Contact
Supporting children to maintain important family relationships in a safe and structured environment.
Supervised Child Contact provides a safe, neutral, and child-focused setting where children can spend time with a parent or family member when independent contact is not currently appropriate, practical, or agreed.
The service is designed to support children’s safety, wellbeing, and ongoing connection with important family relationships during periods of family change, transition, or reintroduction.
Supervised contact may be arranged by agreement between parents, recommended by professionals, or required under court orders.
Based in Strathpine, the service supports families throughout Moreton Bay and North Brisbane.

Supervised Child Contact appointments are currently available on weekends only. Visits are offered on a fortnightly basis, with a minimum booking duration of two hours. Acceptance of referrals remains subject to suitability assessment, risk considerations, and service capacity.

A Child-Focused Approach
Children benefit most when the adults around them are able to manage conflict safely while keeping the child’s needs at the centre of decision-making.
My approach to supervised contact is calm, structured, and child-focused. The aim is to create an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and supported while maintaining important family relationships.
As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with a background in psychology and additional training in child-inclusive practice, I bring an understanding of child development, family relationships, conflict, and family transition to my work with children and parents.
Safety and Service Standards
Service delivery is informed by the Children’s Contact Services Guiding Principles Framework for Good Practice.
Enhanced Supervision and Safety
Unlike many private services that operate with a single supervisor, all contact visits include both a Professional Supervisor and a Contact Support Officer. This dual-person model provides additional oversight, supports child safety, and allows for greater flexibility during arrivals, departures, and contact sessions.
Sessions are conducted within dedicated family consultation suites designed for mediation, child consultation, and supervised family contact. Secure access arrangements, monitored common areas, and venue safety procedures further support accountability, risk management, and professional oversight.
Acceptance of referrals is subject to suitability assessment, risk considerations, and service capacity.
Records and Reporting
Where requested or required, records may be prepared based on observations documented during supervised contact sessions.
These records are factual, objective, and observational in nature.
The service does not provide:
-
Family reports
-
Parenting assessments
-
Expert witness reports
-
Recommendations regarding parenting arrangements
-
Independent assessments of parental capacity
Preparation of observation summaries, affidavits, court documentation, subpoena responses, and court attendance may attract additional fees.
Suitable Referrals May Include
-

A Comfortable Environment for Children and Young People
The consultation suites include a thoughtfully curated selection of developmentally appropriate resources to support children and young people across a range of ages and interests.
Depending on the child's age and preferences, this may include open-ended play materials, natural wooden resources, creative activities, puzzles, board games, books, and comfortable spaces for conversation and shared activities.
Every aspect of the environment has been carefully considered to encourage natural interaction between parents and children while supporting connection, communication, and positive shared experiences.
Important Information
Supervised Child Contact is not counselling, therapy, a family report service, parenting assessment, or expert witness service.
Acceptance of referrals is subject to suitability assessment, risk considerations, and service capacity.
