Services

Guided conversations that put children first.

I offer a structured mediation process to help parents resolve parenting and property matters without court, alongside specialist child consultation services that ensure children’s voices and developmental needs are thoughtfully considered — keeping children’s wellbeing at the centre of every decision.

Child-Focused Parenting Mediation

For parents seeking to create or update parenting arrangements in a calm, structured, and developmentally sensitive way.

Sessions keep children’s wellbeing at the centre while supporting parents to communicate respectfully and reach lasting, practical agreements.

Child-Informed Preparation Counselling

A referral-based counselling service supporting parents to better understand how their child may be experiencing family change, without involving children directly in adult decisions.

Insights are translated into practical guidance to support child wellbeing and prepare parents for informed decision-making.

Child-Inclusive Consultation

An optional component of Family Dispute Resolution, where children are given the opportunity to express their views in a safe and supported way through a qualified child consultant.

Their feedback is then shared sensitively with parents to strengthen understanding and guide more informed decision-making.

What to expect in mediation

Family Dispute Resolution with me is a structured and supported process designed to help parents communicate clearly, reduce conflict, and make practical, child-focused decisions without going to court.

Mediation is a guided conversation — structured enough to keep discussions safe and productive, while allowing space for reflection, listening, and problem-solving. My role is to remain impartial and hold that structure with calm professionalism, helping parents stay focused on outcomes that support their children’s wellbeing and long-term stability.

All mediation sessions are confidential and protected under the Family Law Act. What is discussed in mediation cannot be used in court, except in limited circumstances where disclosure is required by law. This confidentiality allows parents to speak openly and explore options without fear of things being taken out of context.

You will be guided step-by-step through the process, with clarity about what happens at each stage and the opportunity to ask questions along the way. Parents are also provided with access to the Pre-Mediation Preparation Course and supporting resources, which can be completed at your own pace if helpful. These materials are designed to gently prepare you for mediation and support more thoughtful, child-focused decision-making.

Where appropriate and agreed by both parents, child-inclusive consultation may be incorporated into the process to ensure children’s views and developmental needs are carefully considered in a safe and respectful way.

While many families reach meaningful agreements through mediation, the process also recognises that progress happens at different paces. You will be kept informed about how things are tracking and what next steps are available, whether or not a final agreement is reached.

The mediation process typically includes:

Step One
Individual Intake Sessions

Each parent attends a private intake session prior to joint mediation. This session allows time to understand your circumstances, identify key concerns, discuss your child or children’s needs, and ensure mediation is appropriate and safe to proceed. It also provides an opportunity to ask questions and understand how the process will work for your family.

Step Two
Joint Mediation Session

Joint mediation sessions are structured and facilitated to support clear communication and constructive discussion. Sessions focus on working through parenting and/or property matters at a manageable pace, with guidance to help parents stay child-focused, explore options, and work toward practical and sustainable arrangements.

Step Three
Agreement & Next Steps

Where agreement is reached, outcomes are documented and next steps are discussed. This may include preparing parenting plans or identifying options for formalising agreements if required. Even where full agreement is not reached, mediation can help clarify issues, narrow areas of dispute, and identify appropriate next steps.

Fees

Transparent, all-inclusive mediation packages designed to support clarity, calm, and child-focused outcomes.

Each mediation package includes online intake sessions for both parents, the joint mediation session, written agreements (if reached), Section 60i Certificate (where applicable), and digital preparation materials.

Ready to begin a calmer chapter?

Separation doesn’t have to define your family’s story. With the right support, it can become a turning point — a moment to show your children what respect, care, and maturity look like, even in times of change.
