Family Conflict Support
Support for families navigating conflict, communication difficulties, and relational stress
Conflict within families can be deeply distressing — especially when communication begins to break down, emotions escalate quickly, or relationships start to feel tense, reactive, or disconnected.
Many families find themselves stuck in repetitive patterns of conflict without fully understanding how those patterns developed or how to move through them differently.
Family Conflict Support provides a calm and structured space to slow interactions down, strengthen communication, and support more emotionally safe and intentional ways of relating within the family system.
My approach is developmentally informed, child-focused, and grounded in emotional safety. Drawing on facilitative, mediation-informed, and reflective communication frameworks, sessions support families to better understand relational patterns, emotional responses, communication dynamics, and the underlying stressors contributing to conflict or tension within the family system.
Depending on the family’s needs, sessions may focus on resolving a specific area of conflict or supporting families to better understand broader relational dynamics, recurring tension, and patterns of communication within the home.
The goal is not to assign blame or force immediate resolution, but to create a calmer and more structured space for reflection, communication, understanding, and identifying a constructive path forward.
Family Conflict Support may assist with:
• Parent-child conflict and communication difficulties
• Family tension and emotionally reactive patterns
• Conflict following separation or family transitions
• Co-parenting communication challenges
• Adolescent emotional and behavioural concerns
• Parenting stress and emotional overwhelm
• Relational strain within blended or changing family systems
• Emotional regulation and reflective communication support
Sessions aim to create greater understanding, emotional awareness, regulation, and healthier patterns of communication within the family.
Sessions are available for parents, adolescents, and families.
Appointments are available in-person at my Strathpine studio or online Australia-wide.
